FAQs and other general information:

  • Do I need to make a reservation to skydive?
    • It is best practice to make a reservation. We cannot always guarantee availability for walk-ins. Reservations are scheduled on a first come first served basis.
  • Is there a weight limit?
    • Yes, for tandem skydiving the weight limit for a student is 230lbs.
    • The maximum allowable weight for a Static Line Student is 220lbs.
  • How old do you have to be to skydive?
    • You must be at least 18 years old and be able to legally sign the waiver and binding contract to skydive. There are NO exceptions to this rule.
  • Are there other restrictions to skydiving?
    • Yes, you must be in reasonable physical condition too. Please call us to consult with one of our instructors if you have any questions about your physical condition and your ability to skydive.
  • What should I wear when skydiving?
    • Wear comfortable, casual clothing and a good pair of lace-up sneakers (please – no footwear with open toes/heels, flip flops, or anything with hooks or latches).
  • What time do I show up at the Drop Zone for my skydive?
    • You will be giving a time to show up when you make your reservation. This is not the actual time you will skydive, but the time we need you to arrive so we can get the training and legal work completed prior to your skydive.
  • How long will I be at the Drop Zone?
    • There are many factors that will dictate how long your visit with us will last. The size of your group, how busy the schedule is, and weather delays are a few possible factors. Please plan to spend a majority of the day with us!!!
  • What if it’s raining? What other weather delays might we encounter?
    • We will not skydive in the rain. HOWEVER, only the INSTRUCTOR or PILOT can cancel a skydive due to weather.
    • Other delays due to weather include variables such as low cloud cover and/or wind.
  • Can we bring friends and family to experience our skydive with us?
    • Absolutely – You are welcome to bring whomever, and how many ever people with you to experience your skydive; however, please note, any unattended children will be provided with an espresso and a free puppy.
    • While we all love the fury family members, for safety, please leave your pets at home when you plan to skydive. 
  • Do you sell food?
    • We have soda, water, snacks for sale at the Drop Zone, but you are welcome to bring food, snacks, and beverages with you. But please no alcoholic beverages.
  • If you are over 70 years of age, then please consult with us first about your ability to make a skydive.
  • Is there a deposit to schedule a skydive?
    • A non-refundable $50.00 deposit is required for each skydive at the time you make your reservation. We simply require 72 hours’ notice if you are required to reschedule. Please also remember, only the instructor and pilot can cancel due to weather. All weather cancellations will be issued a rain check for a future time.
  • Can I wear my own GoPro camera on my tandem skydive?
    • No. For the safety of our customers and instructors, we do not allow students to wear cameras. These camera's can become a "snag" point for parachute lines which can result in many different malfunctions causing serious injury or even death.
    • For safety reasons, it is recommended by the United States Parachute Association ( that any skydiver wearing any camera have a minimum of 200 skydives and receive proper training.
    • It is the policy of Vacationland Skydiving that any skydiver at our facility jumping with a camera have a minimum of 200 jumps and/or be signed off by our S&TA.
